Angels in America

Angels in America Parts 1 and 2 will be presented in Vancouver from July 14-August 19, 2006

Angels in America (Part 1: Millennium Approaches; Part 2: Perestroika), produced by Hoarse Raven Theatre, will be presented in Vancouver from July 14-August 19 at the Waterfront Theatre in Granville Island.

Angels in America, written by Tony Kushner, looks at the onset of the AIDS crisis in the gay community in the 1980's during the Reagan era.

Parts 1 and 2 premiered in the early 1990's and won a Tony award for Best Play. It has subsequently been turned into an opera and an HBO movie featuring Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, and Emma Thompson. For further information on the Vancouver production, please go to Horse Raven Theatre.
