Bill Clinton spoke about the stigma of HIV in Vietnam during visit

Bill Clinton was in Vietnam to pledge his group's continuing support of HIV/AIDS sufferers in Vietnam. Specifically, he promised to increase the supply of antiretroviral drugs to women and children in Vietnam.

During a panel discussion on "Fighting HIV/AIDS, Empowering Youth in Vietnam" Clinton urged the Vietnamese youth to speak more openly about HIV/AIDS in the hope that an open dialogue will reduce the discrimination and stigma of sufferers.

In July of this year, Clinton's group opened an office in Vietnam. Vietnam was one of Clinton's stops during an HIV/AIDS and tsunami tour of Asia.
