Actually curing AIDS would bring in more money by making people feel like it's ok to get it.

In actuality I don't think there will ever be a cure, the virus mutates too rapidly for vaccines and single mechanism targeted drugs to work. Even the cocktail used today doesn't keep AIDS at bay in every patient. Also, any slip in taking the medication gives the virus time to mutate and a new treatment has to be pursued.

Anyone who thinks there's a conspiracy about a cure for AIDS needs to read up on the microbiology of the virus. Pay attention to the fidelity of the viral polymerase, the mechanism by which the virus infects and replicates, and the time lapse viral load vs immune response figures. As the body tries to fight it HIV gets stronger because it infects the very cells fighting it.
